In order to draw attention to the newly published volume Colonial powers and Ethiopian frontiers 1880–1884 (volume IV in the Acta Aethiopica series), edited by Sven Rubenson, Amsalu Aklilu, Shiferaw Bekele and Samuel Rubenson, and published by Lund University Press, the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies (CTR) hosts a book release on Thursday 30 September at 4 pm. At the book release, Professor Samuel Rubenson will say a few words about the volume and draw some intriguing historical parallels to the situation in present-day Ethiopia.

Refreshments will be served for those attending in person. The book release will also be live-streamed via Zoom.
