Kursen är för dig som redan är specialistsjuksköterska inom akut- eller ambulanssjukvård och därmed i din professionella vardag möter personer med sjukdomstillstånd som kräver ett högt vårdtempo. Kursen ger dig förutsättningar att inhämta kunskap för att identifiera, bedöma, behandla och ansvara för vård av patienter med tidskritisk sjukdom. Kursen syftar till att utöka studentens svenska ordförråd och förmåga att anpassa sin svenska till olika kommunikationssituationer samt att utveckla studentens förmåga att delta i debatter och diskussioner på svenska. I kursen tränas muntlig färdighet genom diskussioner, argumentationer, kortare anförande och föredrag. Skriftlig färdighet övas genom uppsatsskrivning, referat, praktiska skrivelser och sammanställningar av fakta från olika informationskällor. Olika texter analyseras med utgångspunkt i genre och språklig stil. Läsförmågan uppövas genom sökläsning och studier av såväl sakprosatexter som skönlittera

Kursen bygger på och fördjupar Italienska, fortsättningskurs. Liksom i den förra kursen läggs stor vikt vid muntlig och skriftlig språkfärdighet samt vid textläsning och textförståelse.
