The art exhibition, led by professor Yafa Shanneik, is part of the on-going British Academy funded project, Negotiating Relationships and Redefining Traditions: Syrian and Iraqi Women Refugees in Jordan, and is done in collaboration with Al-Balqa’ Applied University, GJU and the NGO Taghyeer in Jordan.
Jordanian Minister of Culture, Haifa Najjar, honoured the exhibition with her presence, together with a number of ambassadors, government and NGO representatives as well as other state and non-state actors in Jordan.
The event received huge media attention in both TV and newspapers.
