I received my doctoral degree in (Ancient) Greek at Lund University in 2007. Currently I am a research fellow within two projects: “Knowledge, Magic and Horse Medicine in Late Antiquity” and "Authority, Community and Individual Freedom – Latin Monastic Culture and the Roots of European Educational Ideals". My research is primarily focused on the study and editing of ancient and medieval Greek texts, especially collections of Apophthegmata Patrum and other monastic texts, but also hippiatric literature. Another research interest is digital editing and encoding of manuscripts. I am involved in the development of three relational databases: APDB (the Apophthegmata Patrum DataBase), Monastica (a digital variant of APDB) and HIPPO - a database for pre-modern hippiatric texts.
I teach courses in Early Chistianity, digital tools and textual criticism. Other engagements include being in charge of the regular translation seminar at the Academy of St John (Johannesakademin).
In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
