Moving ERP Research Forward: the Future Directions for ERP Research
This paper presents an unbalanced overview of existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) research by reassessing the body of knowledge and emphasising future research directions that need to be pursued in an attempt to fill knowledge gaps and bridge the existing gap between practitioners and academia. To fulfil this objective, nine leading international IS publications covering the period of 2006

Mixing patterns in Rushton-turbine-agitated reactors
This Ph.D. Thesis concerns the study of mixing in Rushton turbine agitated reactors. In industrial (bio)reactors, mixing is recognised as a limiting factor that significantly affects the performance of the process. This limitation has motivated the present study. It is first shown how planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) can be used to investigate mixing in a model reactor. The principles of

Heat transfer enhancement in square ducts with V-shaped ribs of various angles
Experimental studies have revealed that both downstream and upstream pointing V-shaped ribs result in better heat transfer enhancement than transverse straight ribs of the same geometry. Secondary flows induced by the angled ribs are believed to be responsible for this higher heat transfer enhancement. Further investigations are needed to understand this. In the present study, the heat and fluid f
Challenges in the Solution of the Transfer Equation in Multi-D Hydrodynamical Model Atmospheres for Cool Stars
My talk is intended to stimulate discussions about methods in radiativetransfer for hydrodynamical model atmospheres of late-type stars. I willpresent a number a number of inherent problems, show how they arepresently tackled (if so), and ask for ideas for more efficient approaches.
Multiband diversity antenna performance study for mobile phones
Spatial diversity is a popular multiple antenna system technique, due to simplicity in implementation. However, its application has thus far been limited to systems where the electrical separation between adjacent antennas typically exceeds half a wavelength. This is because a more compact design induces higher antenna correlation and impedance mismatch, which results in lower diversity gains. In

Beta-Glycosidases from Hyperthermophiles as Biocatalysts
The thesis concerns glycosyl transfer with use of b-glycosidases, most of them from hyperthermophilic organisms. Both optimisation of the reaction conditions and protein engineering in terms of site-directed mutagenesis were used to improve b-glycosidase-catalysed reactions. The first part of the work deals with conversion of lactose into valuable products such as galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) an
