Spectacular, realisable and ‘everyday’ : Exploring the particularities of sustainable planning in Malmö
‘Sustainability’, often presented through an ecological–economic–social triad, is today one of spatial planning’s absolute key concepts (and key priorities). But it is also a highly contested concept, whose meaning is often considered evasive or vague. In this paper, we try to counterweigh such evasiveness by putting emphasis on the material landscape produced within a project that is frequently d
Somalia conflict and famine: the causes are bad governance, not climate change
Chad is the country most vulnerable to climate change – here’s why
Production of muons from heavy-flavour hadron decays in p–Pb collisions at sNN=5.02 TeV
The production of muons from heavy-flavour hadron decays in p–Pb collisions at sNN=5.02 TeV was studied for 2
Public procurements and social clauses after the Laval quartet some comparative remarks
Among all the different ways used by the social State to promote higher labour standards the public procurements have always played an important role. Exploiting them economic attractiveness, in fact, most Countries used to insert in them several types of social clauses, so to oblige the awarded tenderer to grant a broad series of rights to the employees involved in the execution of the procuremen
What local people? Examining the Gállok mining conflict and the rights of the Sámi population in terms of justice and power
The global extraction of minerals is commonly located in areas populated by indigenous people; and while conflicts between multinational corporations and local activists and indigenous people are widespread today, the understanding of their dynamics are lacking. The Swedish government’s encouragement to an expanding mining industry has caused resistance due to environmental and social implications

The underlying dimensions of brand orientation and its impact on financial performance
This research responds to the need for an increased understanding of brand orientation and its impact on financial performance. Since brand orientation is often perceived as a somewhat elusive concept we here present a theoretical framework for the purpose of identifying the underlying dimensions of brand orientation from a holistic perspective. Based on this framework we have performed a study onThis research responds to the need for an increased understanding of brand orientation and its impact on financial performance. From market orientation to brand orientation in the public sector
This conceptual article examines brand orientation as an alternative to market orientation in the public sector. The problem with market orientation is that the focus on customers is too great; it is myopic, and lacks true interaction; it is mechanistic, and the emphasis on economic values is too strong. In this light, brand orientation becomes an interesting alternative. Brand orientation is more

Destabilising Citizenship Practices? : Social work and undocumented migrants in Sweden
Denna avhandling bidrar till analysGlobalisation of the economy, as well as movement of people and increasing securitisation of borders, have challenged and to different degrees destabilised forms of national belonging and solidarity. Such developments produce new borders and boundaries, separate citizens from non-citizens and create hierarchies of “deservingness”. This dissertation contributes to the analysis of these developments

Processing and Storage stability of Skim Milk Powder : Monitoring Early and Advanced Stages of the Maillard Reaction
The non-enzymatic browning known as the Maillard reaction has been the subject of extensive investigation for decades. Studies have focused on areas such as changes in flavour, colour, texture, and the nutritional properties of food materials as a result of this reaction. However, this complex reaction between the amino acids in proteins and reducing sugars in carbohydrates, is still not fully und
When Are Low Resolution ADCs Energy Efficient in Massive MIMO?
Massive MIMO (MaMI) is often promoted as a technology that will enable the use of low-quality, cheap hardware. One particular component that has been in the focus of MaMI-related research is the analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and use of very low-resolution ADCs has been proposed. However, studies about whether this strategy is justified from an energy-efficiency point of view have largely been

Computational patient models for simulation of dynamic gamma-camera imaging : Application to renography and peptide receptor radionuclide therapy
Many nuclear medicine investigations rely on gamma-camera imaging to study and quantify the distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or radionuclides in the patient as a function of time. This is typically used for diagnostic studies of physiological functions or for calculation of absorbed doses following radionuclide therapy. In this work, computational patient models (phantoms) have been developed
