In certain types of glulam roof structures with large spans, reliable methods for design with respect to instability are lacking. The purpose of this master thesis has been to study prestressed concrete in different bridge codes. The studied codes are the Swedish BRO 94, the American AASHTO code and Eurocode. The codes are compared by dimensioning of a bridge slab in transverse direction and the factors that decide the amount of prestressing steel are evaluated.
