Validity of Routinely Collected Swedish Data in the International Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Database

This validation of the Swedish part of the international ERAS database suggests high patient coverage in EIAS and high agreement and limited missingness in clinically relevant variables. This validation approach or a modified version can be used for continued validation of the International ERAS database. Birthweight data completeness and quality in population-based surveys: EN-INDEPTH study

Substantial data gaps remain for birthweight data in household surveys, even amongst facility births. Improving the accuracy and recording of birthweights, and better communication with women, for example using health cards, could improve survey birthweight data availability and quality. Creation and validation of a citywide pediatric asthma registry for the District of Columbia

A population-level pediatric asthma registry captures more children and adolescents with asthma in DC then a BRFSS-derived estimate, and provides city-wide measures of asthma-related utilization. The registry allows for stratification by primary care practice locations and asthma characteristics, supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of QI projects at the practice, health system, a

A Review of the History, Advocacy and Efficacy of Data Management Plans

Data management plans (DMPs) have increasingly been encouraged as a key component of institutional and funding body policy. Although DMPs necessarily place administrative burden on researchers, proponents claim that DMPs have myriad benefits, including enhanced research data quality, increased rates of data sharing, and institutional planning and compliance benefits. Development of a pharmacoeconomic registry: an example using hormonal contraceptives

This registry is a comprehensive database of economic evaluations, including costs, clinical probabilities and health-state utility estimates. The collated data captured from published information in this registry can be used to identify trends in the literature, conduct systematic reviews and meta-analysis and develop novel pharmacoeconomic models.

Growth mixture models: a case example of the longitudinal analysis of patient‐reported outcomes data captured by a clinical registry

Growth mixture modelling can be a valuable tool for classifying multiple unique patient-reported outcome trajectories that have previously been unobserved in real-world applications; however, their use requires substantial transparency regarding the processes underlying model building as they can directly affect the results and therefore their interpretation.
