Socratic Provocation in Art
In his ‘Provocation in Philosophy and Art’ Dan Egonsson argues that provocation is integral to Socrates’ way of doing philosophy both when aiming for (the interlocutor’s) personal moral development and as an instrument for societal change, and that provocation in art differs significantly from its Socratic counterpart. Morally dubious provocation in art can, however, Egonsson argues be justified o
Subclass-switched anti-Spike IgG3 oligoclonal cocktails strongly enhance Fc-mediated opsonization
Antibodies play a central role in the immune defense against SARS-CoV-2. Emerging evidence has shown that nonneutralizing antibodies are important for immune defense through Fc-mediated effector functions. Antibody subclass is known to affect downstream Fc function. However, whether the antibody subclass plays a role in anti-SARS-CoV-2 immunity remains unclear. Here, we subclass-switched eight hum

Haemophilia B - Diagnostic Insights, Genetic Aspects and Clinical Outcomes
Haemophilia B (HB) is a rare inherited bleeding disorder caused by the deficiency of coagulation factor IX (FIX). The major clinical issues are bleedings, often targeting the joints, and the development of neutralising antibodies, i.e. inhibitors, to the FIX replacement therapy. Historically HB has been seen as identical to the more common haemophilia A (HA), i.e. deficiency of coagulation factor
Heat dissipation from photosynthesis contributes to maize thermoregulation under suboptimal temperature conditions
The extent to which plants thermoregulate to maintain relatively stable metabolic function in response to gradual and rapid temperature changes that jeopardize crop production is unclear. Maize thermoregulation was investigated based on leaf temperature (TL) measurements and its relationship with photochemistry and stomatal conductance (gs) under dry and wet soil scenarios. Seasonal climatology wa
Straffbar exploatering i arbete? : Arbetet i restaurangen NJA 2022 s. 23
Boson-jet and jet-jet azimuthal correlations at high transverse momenta
We discuss our recent results on azimuthal distributions in vector boson + jets and multi-jet production at the LHC, obtained from the matching of next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative matrix elements with transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton branching. We present a comparative analysis of boson-jet and jet-jet correlations in the back-to-back region, and a study of the theoretical system
LUCID-3 : the upgrade of the ATLAS luminosity detector for High Luminosity LHC
The ATLAS physics program at the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) calls for a precision in the luminosity measurement of ±1%. A larger uncertainty would represent the dominant systematic error in some precision measurements, including the Higgs sector. To fulfil such requirement in an environment characterized by up to 140 simultaneous interactions per bunch crossing (200 in the ultimate scenario), AT

Adding quark spin effects to PYTHIA string fragmentation
Quark spin effects in hadronization have been recently included in the PYTHIA 8 event generator for the simulation of the deep inelastic scattering (DIS) process off a polarized nucleon target via the external StringSpinner package. The spin effects can be simulated for the production of pseudoscalar mesons using the string+3P0 model of polarized quark fragmentation and parametrizations of the tra

Dark Phase Transition and Gravitational Wave of Strongly Coupled Hidden Sectors
We go beyond the state-of-the-art by combining first principal lattice results and effective field theory approaches as Polyakov Loop model to explore the non-perturbative dark deconfinement-confinement phase transition and the generation of gravitational-waves in a dark Yang-Mills theory. We further include fermions with different representations in the dark sector. Employing the Polyakov-Nambu-J
Detection of Single Charge Trapping Defects in Semiconductor Particles by Evaluating Photon Antibunching in Delayed Photoluminescence
Time-resolved analysis of photon cross-correlation function g(2)(τ) is applied to photoluminescence (PL) of individual submicrometer size MAPbI3 perovskite crystals. Surprisingly, an antibunching effect in the long-living tail of PL is observed, while the prompt PL obeys the photon statistics typical for a classical emitter. We propose that antibunched photons from the PL decay tail originate from
