Charged pion identification at high p. T in ALICE using the TPC dE/dx
The ALICE TPC provides excellent charged particle tracking to study pp and Pb-Pb collisions at LHC. The TPC allows also particle identification (PID) via the measurement of the specific ionisation dE/dx.
