The Dead Sea Future Elevation

In this paper water and salt mass balances for the Dead Sea were modeled. Precipitation, evaporation, river discharges, ground water flows, input/output from potash companies and salt production, and brine discharge were included in the models. The mixing time in the Dead Sea was modeled using a single-layer (well-mixed) a two-layer (stratified) system. Using the single-layer approach the water le

Lattice Boltzmann Modeling of Advection-Diffusion Transport with Electrochemical Reactions

Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is a method that can be used to capture the detailed activities of the transport processes at microscale. Here LBM is used to model the porous anode for an anode-supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of electrochemical reactions on the transport processes by a 3D model at microscale. A porous 3D modeling domai

Multi-agent gradient climbing via extremum seeking control

A unified framework based on discrete-time gradient-based extremum seeking control is proposed to localise an extremum of an unknown scalar field distribution using a group of equipped with sensors. The controller utilises estimates of gradients of the field from local dithering sensor measurements collected by the mobile agents. It is assumed that distributed coordination which ensures uniform as
