Investigations on Reducing Burr Formation in Metal Cutting
Metal cutting is a very common operation in the manufacturing industry. Drilling and other hole-making operations perhaps account for 50% of all metal cutting, according to some investigations. All metal cutting including drilling always produces burrs, as a by-product. Actually burrs are nothing but uncut metal at the beginning and at the end of the operations. Yet, despite burr's omnipresence in

Flow Pooling as Lateral Collaboration
The purpose of this paper is to analyse the Multi User Concept (MUC) approach, a combination of vertical and horizontal collaboration (lateral collaboration) across different actors in a supply chain. To analyse this concept a quantitative case study using modelling and simulation was made based on actual data from several companies in an automotive supply chain. On a supply chain level, the model

On robustness of turbo coded OFDM systems over frequency selective channels
The robustness of fixed Turbo coded communication systems over frequency selective channels are investigated. The simulated amplitude functions are based on an idealised two level function and a decaying function. The results indicate that the system can cope with severe disturbances without to much loss.
