Requirements Trade-offs During UML Design

Designs almost always require trade-offs between competing design choices to meet pervasive system dependability requirements (e.g., security, performance and fault tolerance system goals). In some cases, dependability requirements are realized by functionality that cross-cuts designs. Aspect-Oriented Modeling (AOM) methods allow developers to localize such cross-cutting functionality in design mo

The Acquisition of French Subject Pronouns in Child and Adult Learners

In this study, we will analyse the acquisition of subject pronouns in French and the distribution of Null subjects in early stages of language acquisition. We will contrast bilingual first language acquisition (2L1) and adult second language acquisition (L2). In both cases, Swedish is present as one of the two languages of the bilingual children, and as source language for the L2 learners. We wil

Gnistornas bok, kap. 1 och 10

A Swedish translation of chapters 1 and 10 from Liber Scintillarum ("The Book of Sparks") by Defensor of Ligugé, with brief notes.

Deception among pairs: "Let's say we had lunch and hope they will swallow it!"

Deception research has neglected the fact that legal-workers often have to try to detect deceit on the basis of statements derived from pairs of suspects, each having been interrogated repeatedly. To remedy this shortcoming we conducted a study where each member of 10 truth-telling pairs and 10 lying pairs was interrogated twice about an alibi. One hundred and twenty undergraduate students were en

Single-ended low noise multiband LNA with programmable integrated matching and high isolation switches

This paper describes a novel 90nm single-ended multiband input LNA preceded by RF input switches connected to an on-chip balun intended to drive a differential mixer. The architecture achieves a low noise figure of 1.8dB. The advantage with the proposed architecture is that it is fully single-ended with on-chip programmable narrow-band matching eliminating the need of off-chip components. Especial
