I am Fil. D. in the history of religion (general specialisation) and works with the theme of religion and ecology in a contemporary and social perspective, considering the existential dimension and the cultural significance of landscapes.
My thesis Wild Enchantments in the Anthropocene: Exploring the Wild in Narratives, Practices and Place in Dark Green Spirituality (2021) describes the period 2009-2015, and looks at how people seek spiritual answers in times of climate change. As post doc. I have researched sustainability work at Swedish cemeteries, part of the Church of Sweden's climate work, described in the policy document The Church of Sweden's Roadmap for the Climate. I work with a project entitled ‘Making death sustainable’. During 2023-2024, I was part of the Relentless Existential Threats theme at the Pufendorf Institute at Lund University.
Other interests include the themes of religion and politics, religion and science, and religion and popular culture.
