eSSENCE is organised by the universities of Uppsala, Lund, and Umeå.

eSSENCE unites and supports research within e-Science. Unlike most other research areas, e-Science is not based on disciplines or on the subject matter being studied, but on the tools used, which, as the name implies, are of an “electronic” nature. e-Sciences comprise all sciences that progress and answer scientific questions

Enheten för forskningsdata (Research Data Office, RDO) stöttar forskare vid Lunds universitet i hela forskningsprocessen genom att ge vägledning till rätt stöd,verktyg och tjänster för hantering av forskningsdata. Enheten har en samordnande roll och ska verka för att stärka kvaliteten och genomslaget i forskningen, exempelvis genom att stötta forskare att göra data mer tillgänglig, säker och hållbLund University Research Data Office (LU RDO) supports researchers at Lund University throughout the research process by providing guidance on the right support, tools and services for managing research data.
