In my latest project, Migration Office Christianities, I investigate how migration officers at Migrationsverket (The Swedish Migration Agency) assess the credibility of asylum application based on religious conversion.
I am also in the closing stages of a pilot study, Disinformation and Social Trust: how conspiracy theories cause insecurity among immigrant-background families in Sweden, which investigates the reasoning of Muslims who decide to leave Sweden because they lack trust in the Swedish social services.
My doctoral research project focused on unaccompanied refugee minors who convert to Christianity in the Church of Sweden. The title of my dissertation is Living in the Borderland: Young Migrant Converts in the Church of Sweden. Please email me if you would like to receive an electronic copy of the dissertation.
