On 18 November 2025 at 15:15, you are welcome to attend the public defense of Bat Chen Laila Seri's doctoral thesis.

On 18 November 2025, Bat Chen Laila Seri will publicly defend her doctoral thesis from Lund University's Centre for Theology and Religious Studies, titled In Search of Another Law: Three Talmudic Readings of Benjamin's Kafka. The event will take place in LUX C121 at 15.15 and is expected to continue about two hours (though may take longer). The event will be in English, also featuring as an opponent, Dr. Daniel Boyarin, Hermann P. and Sophia Taubman Professor Emeritus of Talmudic Culture at University of California, Berkeley. 

Following the defense will be a short, informal reception.
