The Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology | Lund University

Yearly Open Lecture Days

Each spring, the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology host two days of public lectures presented by our very own researchers, in our very own buildings. All events are free of charge and open to the public.

The Open Lecture Days are filled with presentations, lectures and panel discussions where researchers from all of the Faculties’ departments present current projects to the public in a fun and easy-going way. Most presentations are given in Swedish, though there may be presentations in English as well.

During these lecture days, everyone is invited to experience the many different research subjects of our Joint Faculties, which are brought together by a yearly theme that underlines the common interest of these separate disciplines – the understanding of the human being and our world.

Previous themes include:

  • 2016 Conflict
  • 2015 Geniuses and others
  • 2014 Truths
  • 2013 Close relations
  • 2012 Habits – good and bad
  • 2011 Transitions
  • 2010 New Roads, New Worlds
